What an amazing woman! A real trooper. You always made me welcome with a cuppa, a biscuit or three from your treasure trove of sweeties, always up for a good story with loads of hearty, throaty laughs and your Sunday dinners were legendary: both a dream and a marathon... just wonderful. I remember standing open-mouthed when I saw your magic pantry for the first time...it outclassed Willie Wonka's and without a doubt, you made the best chips in the world. I have so many brilliant memories of you. Your hospitality knew no bounds, you loved meeting people, spending time with them and sharing memories and stories. I'm very privileged to have known you, Hazel. You welcomed me so many times into your home and your family. I hope you knew how much I valued you and was grateful for your kindness. I loved our talks and reminiscences, guaranteed to dissolve into laughs along the way. Hazel, I'll miss you. Cathy xxx
